We took sandwiches to Discovery Park to kick off our Memorial weekend.

Sitting up to my ears in the moving, sun-drenched grasses was like being swept-up and tossed in God's glory.

We sat still, and felt the peace of so much majesty creep through us.

Flying the kite felt like participating with the wind in the glory, somehow.

As Jonathan matched the gusty evening breeze by flying the kite in loops and swirling turns, I threw myself backwards into the grass to try to catch it all up for treasuring in my heart.

What a marvelous world we live in! What a marvelous world God has created! And I so often forget that I am part of the glory, as are the winking, waving leaves, the wind and the lovely warmth of summer coming.
