Florida: Naples Botanical Gardens

The Naples Botanical Gardens were so interesting. Being used to the Northwest, I was just fascinated by the kind of plants they grew. There were palm trees and orchids and all sorts of other tropical plants that I had never seen before.

We went through a butterfly house.

They had a childrens garden with herbs growing and a pump that the kids could water the plants with and, best of all in the 90 degree heat, a water fountain with jets of water that turned on and off. Charlie just walked right in.

He got thoroughly soaked! It was great, he stayed the coolest of all of us and had mostly dried off by the time we left.

There were beautiful water lilies.

and drums to play....

I love this picture!
