Giving Thanks

It's the little things that make a difference in a perfect day. Sometimes the time is enough and spent wisely, the activities bring joy and refreshment, and the work slides by easily. Sometimes you have a moment to shrug off winter and remember to treasure being alive each moment. It cannot be reduplicated nor coerced. It is a gift.
Today I thank the Giver of good gifts for:

The beginning of Spring.

Banana bread for breakfast--freshly baked last night.

The way he so thoroughly enjoys blueberries with lunch.

A long walk/jog with friends in the sunshine. (Many trucks and cars were pointed out and no one needed a coat!)

Happy car ride home.
A long nap while I showered and puttered around doing nothing terribly productive.
Surprise breve latte delivered by my boy on his way home from class.

An unexpected gift from a friend far away.

And just when the day couldn't get any better, a solo trip to the grocery store, with my latte in hand!
Sauteed Chicken with Mango and Red Onion Chutney for dinner.

A happy baby in bed by 7:30.
Happy mama-girl blogging.
The long evening hours ahead with dada-boy!

Hi Keren, it's been a while since I stopped by, but fun to get caught up on you and your handsome little babe. I love the names "mama-girl" and "dada-boy"-- isn't it so surreal sometimes that YOU'RE the mom now? How did this happen, we're really the the adults?

Life has felt beautiful lately, hasn't it? Thanks for putting it into words.
