It has come to this...

This is what being a mother has done to me...I actually felt grateful for being able to relax, putting the laundry this evening while Jonathan got Charlie ready for bed. Only problem with the picture is that I was putting the laundry away. Has it come to this? Easy tasks that I would have once called a chore are now called 'vacation' when I get to do them sans Charlie?

All week I looked forward to spending an hour reclined.... in the dentist's chair. And it was heavenly. No cavities, to boot!

:) It's a vacation because it's so much easier (and quicker) to fold laundry when we have two whole hands!

Maybe since it's quicker, there's the off-chance (not guaranteed) there are a couple of minutes of said "vacation" to do something entirely for oneself in true vacation-like manner...getting to pee or brush one's teeth without interruption for example. :)

My personal favorite is going to the grocery store alone. :)

So true--My favorite is folding diapers. It is relaxing and with every one I fold I think, "25 cents saved." :) And I agree with the dentists chair, too. 45 minutes to lie down--awesome.
