After his nap we headed out to the zoo. It was a beautiful day for animal watching and lots of the animals were out. Charlie was very interested the whole time. Still, we determined that Charlie might be a little young for the zoo.
The clues that led us to this decision were as follows:
When we saw the cheetah, Charlie was more excited by trying to eat some tall grass heads he could almost reach.
At the orangutan exhibit, Charlie was more interested in plucking a little girl's ponytail off her head. (That's us on the right side of the middle window...and the little girl is right next to us)
We had an amazing view of the elephants, but Charlie wanted to know why you should look at huge animals with trunks when you can examine a fence!
We saw sea lions catching thrown fish, but Charlie wanted to steal the watch off of a elderly Italian gentleman next to us instead.
In fact, just about the only thing Charlie did watch that we wanted him to watch was the little train that made its way through the zoo!
Still, Jonathan and I had a great time discovering the wonders of the mundane through Charlie's eyes!
